La verdad yo creo que la mejor versión de esta aria es la de Kiri te Kanawa, la Caballe es para papeles más dramáticos aunque sea una maestra pero ….no me gusta mucho que digamos, además tiene varios errores en la letra ¡perdón!, pero así es.

@mactopolis Oh please!!!, comments like yours make me despair. I think you will find Fleming would have utmost respect for Montse. Caballe, the legend too. This is not her prime yet still magnificant, I would still prefer Caballe. Personally I find Fleming to be far too over dramatic in everything.
I like Fleming singing this aria also, but give Caballe a break. She is in her seventies, while Fleming is her forties. Caballe was one the greatest sopranos of all time, and after singing a lifetime your voice will weaken as you get older. She is still an artist of singing and deserves respect. (In my humble opinion, of course.)
@TheSUPERDIEGOROMA thank you oh so much. mactopolis must be about 19 years old and knows nothing of the technique that it takes for Caballe to still turn out such a wonderful performance at this age. in life we progress, we age, and we decline. i am from the theater and all of these stages should be reflected in performance, not just the young and temporal! i love her sound and the truth of her presentation!
I apologize but Bidu Sayao possesses more vocal technique, can extend the musical with more intensity than any soprano ever. The only so far that comes close is Maria Callas.

All complainers give the gal a break. She who used to sing Norma, Turandot and Lucrezia is fatigued at the end of the recital. She has been singing lead roles since the 60′s and cannot be compared to younger singers or to those who stopped singing before this age in life.
